LARS OELKE, Key Account Manager at COT, will present the COT ePaper Solution for Volkswagen on October 28th in the Automotive Forum!
COT has been a provider of printing and Auto-ID solutions for over 40 years and works with large and medium-sized companies in almost all industrial and commercial market sectors. COT has now developed and integrated an ePaper Solution for parts commissioning at Volkswagen.
In his presentation on October 28th in Forum 2 'Automotive', Lars Oelke will present the overall solution that replaces the classic receipt printing in parts commissioning. Formerly printed information is loaded onto an ePaper in an image format. This enables resources to be saved and processes to be made sustainable.
The system based on the COT ePaper is currently in use at three Volkswagen factories. Thanks to the scalable and flexibly configurable solution, implementation in other industries will also be possible in the future.
According to Lars Oelke, the system is ecologically sustainable and cost-saving; paper printouts are eliminated. In addition, the costs of consumables such as labels or ink ribbons are saved. Additional material and maintenance costs for printers are eliminated.
"I am very pleased to be able to present the COT ePaper solution on the topic of Digitization/Industry 4.0. to a distinguished expert audience at Europe's largest event for IoT technologies, the RFID & Wireless IoT tomorrow 2020. The configurable solution is currently in use at three Volkswagen factories and can also be configured for a wide range of industries outside the automotive industry," emphasizes Lars Oelke.
The non-binding pre-registration period for a 15 % discount on available seats has already begun, and participant accreditation begins on October 1st.
